Process-
Each Wobble Ring is hand-shaped out of wax. The wax is lightly heated to enhance its organic shape. It’s cast into metal and then finished with multiple layers of sanding and polishing. My favorite part of making the wobble rings is finding the little bumps or dips and knowing it will contribute to the unique curvature of each ring.
Inspiration-
This ring started as a custom order! Someone wanted a simple band to replace her wedding ring. Of course, Cielo Nublado embraces the natural curves and edges of life, so it was not created as a perfectly round band (you can use wire for that!). This is, after all, a handcrafted ring, and that has to show. I made a few extras to tease out the idea. Long story short, they sold and have become a shop staple!
