Process-
Each nugget is hand-shaped in wax, cast into metal, receives a round of filing and cleaning, is dyed black, and then finished with multiple rounds of sanding and polishing. A chain is hand assembled for each piece (if ordered with a chain). The most challenging part about making the nuggets is that they are so small and fly into the air multiple times when I am trying to sand them. They pop like popcorn!
Inspiration-
I first made these to send as gifts to people who recently moved, as a token that I was thinking about them, even though we don’t see each other as often anymore. It’s a thoughtful, personalized gesture that shows someone you care.
